The Structural Pest Control Commission serves to protect the interests, health, safety, and welfare of the Louisiana public through rules and regulations pertaining to structural pest control in the state.  These rules and regulations include but are not limited to – rules and regulations for governing the different phases of the structural pest control operator's license, to provide minimum specifications for the application of pesticides for the control of specific structural pests, for governing the transportation and handling of pesticides and pesticide application equipment, and for governing the treatment of pesticide residues and the handling and disposal of solid wastes generated in the course of structural pest control work.
